Promoting dialogue between Europe and its main suppliers

The European Gas Conference celebrated its tenth anniversary amid an air of increasing optimism following considerably shifting markets in the last few years.

343 delegates joined 79 speakers to discuss the critical issues surrounding Europe’s gas market. Featuring major stakeholders including Gazprom, OMV, the European Commission, Nordstream 2, Snam and Total, attendees benefitted from conversations, debates and detailed presentations around topics including the future of Europe’s gas supply from established routes and planned supply lines, LNG’s role in Europe’s energy future, gas’s position in the shifting energy mix and addressing the future of gas pricing.

With increasing supply options and the ever-increasing potential for gas to partner with renewables for a lower-carbon future, EGC 2017 through its interactive formats and expert speaker line-up, provided a vital platform for dialogue to drive the long-term future of gas in Europe. The Energy Exchange would like to thank all attendees, speakers, sponsors and partners for making the 2017 conference a great success, and we look forward to seeing you all back in Vienna in 2018!
